Eddie, Rab, Mick and Rae on Kelvingrove Bandstand, Glasgow on October 16th 1976. The first outing for this new line-up had been the Lorient Festival that August. On October 2nd they had recorded – for Claddagh Records – a track (Farewell to Sicily) for Hamish Henderson’s new LP (Hamish, Owen Hand and Mick were the singers). The clarsach had been designed by Jim Daily and cut from ship’s plywood at the shipyard where Mick worked (he had told his workmates it was for a rocking chair for his granny!).
